Here Am I

The Heavenly Five of Anderson, Indiana, formed in 1952. Their first album, Here Am I, was recorded at Joe Thomas’ BJ Sounds Studio and released on his Sensational Sounds label in 1970, then later re-issued by Randy’s Spiritual. At the time of these recordings, the group featured James Warner on lead, along with Monroe Warner, Booker Alexander, Charlie Gardner, David Tolbert, Willie Alexander, and Richard Alexander. Over the next thirteen years, The Heavenly Five released three more albums on Randy’s Spiritual. The Heavenly Five disbanded in 2002.
