Joe Robinson Remembers

Joe Robinson began singing at Corinthian Baptist Church in Louisville when he was seven years old. Before long, he was an award-winning soloist who had sung under the direction of Professor Thomas A. Dorsey, and would receive attention from noted gospel singers Joe Mays and Mahalia Jackson. Robinson traveled with Rev. Gene Ewing out of Fort Worth, Texas. “How Great Thou Art” was released on his only album, Joe Robinson Remembers, which he recorded in memory of the great Mahalia Jackson after she died in January 1972.
